As the ICC Women's World T20 2018 enters its business end, we take a look back at the buzz it created in social media.

The group stage of the tournament is over and we have our four semi-finalists now. The Windies and India remained unbeaten to top their respective groups, while England and Australia received timely jolts in their last fixtures. 

Our experts, too, joined in the action ... but needed a breather after all the excitement! 

Elsewhere, a quartet of legends retired amidst hugs, tears, goodbyes and more than one guard of honour after Ireland bowed out of the tournament.

 Anya Shrubsole, England’s ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 final hero, became the first from the country to clinch a WT20 hat-trick against South Africa.

Deandra Dottin, on the other hand, is loving the Windies’ fantastic run.

The competition is fierce, but the Spirit of Cricket is never left too far behind ... 

Over to the men's game, where their spin trio and Joe Root inspired England to their first series victory in Sri Lanka in 17 years.

While the England skipper received plaudits from all quarters for his excellent knock, this one would have meant the most to him.

England look well-settled in their batting department for now. But Novak Djokovic has a suggestion for them nevertheless.
